At American Care, we provide our members with highly qualified healthcare imaging professionals. We provide a range of diagnostic imaging services at each of our medical centers. Diagnostic testing is used in preventive medicine, as well as for the diagnosis and continued treatment of current health conditions.

X-rays
X-rays provide medical professionals the ability to see beneath the skin. X-rays reveal or rule out fractures or weaknesses in the bone. A physician may also use x-rays to look at a patient’s lungs.
X-rays are a simple, non-invasive imaging procedure that takes about 15 minutes to complete once you are brought into the x-ray room.
Bone Density Testing
Bone density testing is a painless imaging test used to examine the strength of your bone in the hip and spine. This imaging is a preventative health test to diagnose weak bones before a fracture occurs.
Your provider may prescribe a bone density test to screen for thinning bones if you experience a height loss of ½ inch or more within one year or a total height loss of 1½ inches from your original height. You may also be prescribed a bone scan if you are a woman over 65 years old, a man over 70 years old, or have other risk factors.
Ultrasound
Ultrasounds are a diagnostic imaging device for the soft tissues of our bodies, like our organs and vascular system. Most ultrasound procedures are performed on the outside of the body. During an ultrasound, your technician will apply a gel to the area that may feel cool to the touch. Throughout your procedure, the technician may apply pressure that may cause some discomfort. A typical ultrasound can take 30 to 60 mins.
Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram uses the same technology as an ultrasound to look at detailed imaging of the heart’s structures and blood flow. The procedure can be done externally or internally. Your doctor may also prescribe a stress echocardiogram. A stress echo is performed before and after walking on a treadmill.
